would michael vick still be dog fighting if he was not caught, the answer is yes. for those who think he’s on a path of redemption… he also refused to meet with BADRAP and face the dogs (13 of them) who he tortured. No remorse. No courage. No facing what he did.

A dog shouldn’t be adopted to someone with a history of animals abuse, just like a child shouldn’t be adopted to someone with a history of child abuse.
protect your pet/dog especially pit bulls… if you love dogs, then the Humane Society/Wayne Pacelle saying Vick would be a good dog owner now is NOT OK… honor the Lost Dogs… the dogs Vick brutalized and killed… let the Humane society know that you do NOT support Vick getting a dog ever.
Dogs lives are at stake here…

Here’s what the Humane Society just wrote to me… you decide what’s true. I don’t buy that Vick has shown any true remorse, nor sorrow or faced up to what he did. Maybe he will someday, I wish he would and then he would be a great ambassador, but until then, nope not buying the kool-aid. Also, I don’t think his punishment was just nor fair. He was never charged with animal cruelty nor was he banned from ever owning another dog. That would have been just and fair, in my humble opinion. Cici agrees :-)

Michael Vick committed terrible crimes against dogs, and his punishment of nearly two years in prison, loss of millions of dollars, and not being able to own an animal during his probation was just and fair. Since that time, Vick has been performing community service to reach at-risk youth and steer them away from dogfighting and toward kindness to animals. The Vick case is a good example of how the human-animal bond can be broken, and why it needs to be restored. Vick could eventually be a good pet owner, and with such a spotlight on him, he’ll have a proper incentive in taking great care of a dog.Sincerely,
